Youth Basketball Programs
HRC offers a variety of youth basketball leagues for several age groups. Current game and practice schedules are linked below.
Sportsmanship is an expectation. So please let the players play. Let the coaches coach. Let the officials officiate and the spectators be positive.
Game cancellations will be sent out via TextCaster (sign up at bottom of page)
Beginner Ballers
This is the perfect introduction to the game of basketball. Coaches will run practices, and instruct during games. 2nd graders will practice once per week for 1 hour of the coaches choosing, and play 1 game on Saturdays. Kindergarten and 1st graders will practice for 20 minutes before each game, then play a 30 minute scrimmage against another team on Saturdays. Rules, goal heights, and balls will be modified for each age group. We will NOT play on November 29

Early Start
basketball Camp
The size of the balls, the height of the goals, and the distance of the free-throw lines are modified to fit each age division. These simple modifications permit the players to learn the fundamentals of the game and develop their ball-handling skills with regard to their age and physical abilities. Practices are conducted by volunteer coaches, at the time they choose, two times a week for one hour, and games are played on Saturdays.
