Your satisfaction is important to us. Due to program costs, including instructors, and supplies, and to help maintain our minimum numbers, we ask for your cooperation when requesting a refund or credit. Our policy is to provide a full refund or credit, your choice, to anyone who cancels by the deadline. Anything after the deadline, will not receive a refund/credit unless your spot can be filled.

Let your child enjoy their free time at the HRC or find a great family activity. For easier access you will find activities listed below by age group of your child:
Baby T.A.S. - 0 - 2 year olds & Families

Tween T.A.S. - 5 - 16 year olds & Families
which will, in turn, build confidence and create a solid foundation for years to come. Each participant will receive a bow and a t-shirt uniform top as part of the entry fee.
HAYS REC CHEER
HRC Cheerleading will provide age-appropriate fundamentals and build skills needed for a cheerleader of any level! They will learn stunting, cheers, chants, choreography, and sideline cheering for sports teams, which will, in turn, build confidence and create a solid foundation for years to come. Each participant will receive a bow and a t-shirt uniform top as part of the entry fee.

ADULT & FAMILY CLASSES
Ever want to try out a martial art that is about personal development but that allows you to train at an ability and pace you can be comfortable with at any age? Ever want to try something new and challenging together with your kids? Our school has families with kids as young as ten all the way to folks in their 60s and 70s on the mat learning life and physical skills together every night we practice; some are rolling or falling out of techniques while others are just getting stretches at the end of them or walking out based on their own abilities and comfort level. All of us also wind down together at the end of each class with stretches and breath exercises so that we can leave the evening relaxed and feeling better than when we came in.

YOUTH AIKIDO
For students to be able to participate, they have to agree to practice respect, humility, and loving others while on the mats; we also encourage them to practice these tenets at home. Class involves basic martial arts movements, calisthenic warm-up games, games to learn how to fall and roll safely, games that begin the practice of basic techniques, exercises for self control, games that teach some weapons and movement basics when dealing with multiple attackers, and stretches and breathing at the end to cool down.

AUSTRALIAN FREESTYLE MARTIAL ARTS SELF-DEFENSE COURSE
Martial arts are a great way for kids to build confidence, focus, and physical fitness—while having fun! This dynamic course introduces students to real-world self-defense techniques while helping them develop coordination, discipline, and resilience. Classes are split into two levels:
Beginner students will focus on foundational skills in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Intermediate students will expand on those basics with more advanced techniques and conditioning.
No two classes are the same, keeping students engaged and motivated!
Instructor: Stuart Bott, Probationary 4th-degree Black Belt and Level 5 Muay Thai Trainer, has over 30 years of experience and currently teaches PE in USD 489.

In this class, we will cover the basics of using a wooden katana (bokken) and also a wooden jo staff. We will do strikes, blocks, movements, patterned movements (kata), attack and defense exercises, and if we get far enough some disarmament/throwing. In addition, we will cover some cultural and language concepts. Any fitness level is welcome.

DOGGIE DAY EGG HUNT
Unleash the fun at our Doggie Day Egg Hunt! Let your furry friend sniff out eggs filled with tasty dog treats. Once they nose out an egg, it goes into their basket for a special surprise later.
