BASEBALL FEVER HOME RUN CHASE
You may never hit a home run at a major league park, but here is your chance to manage a team of players who will. To enter simply pick 10 players (listed in order of finish) who you feel will hit the most home runs the Major League Baseball Season. The person’s team with the most home runs as the All Star break, and the end of the regular season will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to Thirsty Brew Pub and Grill. This free program is open to all ages (one team per person). Interested in making all those family pictures into something more? From beginners to novice come to Scrapbooking class with Dana Koerner! Each class date you will be able to learn new techniques pertaining to scrapbooking and use of your camera! You will take 3 – 4 scrapbooking layouts home with you as make – n- take! Is that collection of t-shirts taking up too much room? Do you have a soon-to-be graduate and need the perfect gift? This class is the one for you! You will learn the steps involved in making a t-shirt quilt and the tips you need to know to make it easier. You must know how to operate a sewing machine. Most supplies can be purchased following the first class. Do bring between 20-24 t-shirts to the first class. Included in your class fee will be a copy of the pattern we will use during the class. SHOTGUN SHOOTING FOR LADIES
This course is offered for ladies as an introduction to shotgun shooting. Content will include instruction in basic shotgun fundamentals and will concentrate on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the safe and proper handling and/or use of shotguns. Instruction will include opportunities to experience shooting trap, skeet, five-stand, and sporting clays. A certified National Rifle Association instructor will teach the course. The Smoky Hill Pheasants Forever Chapter #424 will donate the ammunition for the class. All targets are included in your entry fee. Shotguns may be provided during this course if needed.

KANINE KOLLEGE
Kanine Kollege will provide owners with information on traditional methods of socializing and training the family dog. Exercises taught during this six week class includes: heel on leash, sit, come, down and stay. There is a possibility that all of the exercises will not be covered depending on the progress of the class. Owners will be shown how to use positive reinforcement techniques to teach and enforce commands. Owners will be expected to work with their dogs between classes. The instructor will provide assistance to help teach owners how to train their dogs, not train the dogs for you. All owners must have vaccination records with them during the class.

Divulge in some old-fashioned playground fun by signing up your team to play in a kickball tournament. Teams will be made up of 5 guys and 5 girls on the field (max roster of 12). DRIVER SAFETY COURSE
The AARP will be offering a Drivers Safety Course. This course is a refresher course for older drivers and will help the younger drivers sharpen their driving skills. We will so go over how to recognize potential traffic hazards, review when it’s time to let someone else drive. After completion of this course each participant will receive a certificate of completion of the class. You will turn this certificate into your insurance company to receive a discount from your insurance company. Participants do not have to be a member of AARP to participants in this class. We will break for lunch around noon.

36th ANNUAL HAYS MERCHANTS GOLF TOURNAMENT
Be part of this great Hays tradition the 36th Annual Hays Merchants Golf Tournament! Play will be held Saturday, July 24 at Smoky Hill Country Club and Sunday, July 25 at Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course. The tournament is open to both men and women, with flights for men, women & senior divisions (55 years old & older). All flights must have a minimum of 10 golfers. The number of golfers and Saturday’s scores will determine the number of flights. This Tournament is open to everyone - NOT just Ellis County residents. Cart rentals available at each location for a fee.
